I was playing Apex Legends at like 11pm and I joined a lobby with these two people who said “LETS GO LESBIANS!!” and I replied, naturally, with a follow-up “LETS GO LESBIANS!!!”
They said I was the only person to respond that night, and they invited me to their discord. I declined over and over and over because I was a shy little bitch but eventually they wore me down, and I joined.
I kicked my feet for a few months before joining a voice chat in there on a whim. I think they were playing jackbox.
The next day I had a new role in the server called “Insomnia Squad.” I assumed it was given to me because I stayed up late frequently.
Insomnia Squad primarily consisted of the server owner, a friend of mine named Ozzenstach, and a funny guy named Duke of Ash. They would ping the roll most nights and we would hang out. Eventually I started hanging out with Duke in private calls, every day.
I later learned Duke was the one who asked the server owner to give me the insomnia squad role in the first place after that night I randomly joined the voice call, because I (and I quote) “sounded cute.”
